Forsyth Tech Athletics Lends a Hand at Special Olympics Track Meet
The Trailblazer athletics department recently volunteered to assist with the Forsyth County Special Olympics track meet held at JDL Fast Track. The event, featuring spirited competition from middle school athletes, saw the Forsyth Tech coaches actively involved in supporting a range of events, including softball and tennis ball throws, and various track races.
"It was a fantastic opportunity for our staff to give back to the community and witness the incredible spirit of these athletes," said Shelly Barnes, Director of Athletics. "Seeing the joy and determination displayed by the participants was truly inspiring."
The middle school athletes, competing in softball and tennis ball throws and races, demonstrated impressive athleticism and sportsmanship. The Forsyth Tech coaches offered helpful tips and cheered on each participant, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere.
