Kyri Wilson, Men's Basketball

Kyri Wilson signed his letter of intent to play for Forsyth Tech on Thursday, December 19th. Kyri is a 6' point guard from Mooresville, NC who attends Mooresville High School and is coached by Armard Moore. 

"Kyri is a hard-nosed point guard that impacts winning," said head coach Lucas Hunter. "Kyri comes from a great high school program and finds ways to stuff the stat sheet on a nightly basis. Simply put, Kyri is always around the ball making plays. He has the ability to stretch the defense from three point range and also knows how to create paint touches and open shots for teammates. Adding a point guard of this caliber is a great start for our inaugural signing class."

My family, but mainly my uncle Charlie.

I am looking forward to having a successful first year.

What is your dream job?

To play in the NBA.

What is something you are really good at besides basketball?

Being a great friend.

When did you start playing basketball, and why?

I started playing basketball when I was three years old. I just picked up a basketball and never put it down.

What position do you play and why do you enjoy playing it?

I play point guard. I enjoy playing that position because without a point guard you really don't have a team!

What is your favorite basketball memory?

My favorite basketball memory is the Lake Norman dump off pass to my teammate Dylan Clark.

Why did you choose Forsyth Tech?

I chose Forsyth Tech because it seems like a good environment, a fresh start, and a chance to meet new people. And I am liking Coach Hunter!
