Kevonta' Martin, Men's Basketball
Kevonta' Martin signed his letter of intent to play for Forsyth Tech on Monday, March 3. Martin is a 6'4 wing from Central Cabarrus High School in Concord, NC. During his senior campaign, Martin earned Southern Piedmont Conference Co-Player of the Year honors while averaging 18.2 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 2.7 APG. Martin comes from a winning program at Central Cabarrus, having been apart of back to back 3A NCHSAA State Championship teams in 2023 & 2024.
"Kevonta' brings length and energy to our perimeter," said head coach Lucas Hunter. "Kevonta' comes from a great program at Central Cabarrus and knows what it takes to win. I look forward to working with him on a daily basis, I believe his best basketball is still in front of him!"

Who has made a big impact on your basketball journey?
My parents and coaches have made an impact on my journey. Without all of their sacrifices and encouragement, I would not possibly be who I am today.
What are you looking forward to about playing at Forsyth Tech?
I am excited to play at a higher level, develop my skills, and be a part of a great team!

What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be an electrical engineer.
What is something you are really good at besides basketball?
I am really good at baking.
When did you start playing basketball, and why?
I started playing basketball in the fifth grade. I was always around basketball, but the fifth grade was when I finally got a chance to play.
What is your favorite basketball memory?
My favorite memory is when I went to Florida with my AAU team. It was fun being around them and getting to experience a place like that.
Why did you choose Forsyth Tech?
I chose Forsyth Tech because while building a connection with Coach Hunter, I realized we both want the same thing for the program: to win big!
