Joel Deigna, Men's Basketball
Joel Deigna signed his letter of intent to play for Forsyth Tech on Friday, March 14. Deigna is a 6'5 wing from Oak Ridge Military in Greensboro, NC. Joel is a native of the Ivory Coast. Deigna was coached by Gary Holbrook at ORMA and was recently selected for the Triad All-Star Classic.
"Joel is a very high character young man and I could not be more excited to coach him," said head coach Lucas Hunter. "I have gotten to know Joel extremely well over this season and have so much respect for his life and basketball journey. Joel is a gifted athlete with great positional size and skill; he plays with tremendous energy and our fans will enjoy watching him in a Trailblazer uniform."

Who has made a big impact on your basketball journey?
God did a lot for me on that part of my life.
What are you looking forward to about playing at Forsyth Tech?
I am excited for the exposure that the NJCAA level brings, the development that will take place academically and on the court, and also experiencing new relationships.

Anthony Edwards and Devin Booker
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to play professional basketball and then be a conference speaker once I retire.
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I am a floating seed, I have no attachment anywhere. I am looking for a place to call my home and a place to flourish.
What is one thing people don't know about you?
My faith in God is my weapon!
What is something you are really good at besides basketball?
I am a good actor! Also, I know how to be a good ear to people in need.
What is your favorite basketball memory?
My first ever state championship!
Why did you choose Forsyth Tech?
I chose Forsyth Tech because my relationship with Coach Hunter. He has recruited me hard and trusts me, I look forward to continuing to improve and be great under his wings.
