Emma Sechrist, Volleyball

Emma Sechrist signed her letter of intent to play for Forsyth Tech on Monday, December 30th. Emma is a 5'7" outside hitter from Oak Grove High School. 

"We are excited to welcome Emma to our program," said head coach Sarah Weavil. "We obviously want the best players in the area to stay local and come play at Forsyth Tech, getting a great outside hitter from right here in Winston-Salem is really exciting for our program! "

One thing people don't know about me is that I am a big empath.

What are you good at besides playing volleyball?

Running track

When did you start playing volleyball, and why?

I started playing volleyball when I was in the fifth grade because my friend wanted me to start playing with her.

What position do you play?

Outside hitter, I really enjoy getting kills and the power behind it.

What is your favorite volleyball memory?

My favorite volleyball memory is traveling to different places in the country to play it!

What is your favorite food?

Wings

Why did you choose Forsyth Tech?

I chose Forsyth Tech because the people welcomed me with kindness and they have a great nursing program.
