Darnerian "D1" Gibson signed his letter of intent to play for Forsyth Tech on Friday, April 11. Gibson is a 5'10 guard from Thomasville, NC. D1 had a sensational prep career playing for Head Coach Antonio Lowe at Winston Salem Christian School. Gibson scored over 1,500 career points during his career with the WSCS Lions and helped lead the National Team this year. Gibson was recently named a Triad All-Star.
"Simply put, D1 is a winner," said head coach Lucas Hunter. "I have really enjoyed getting to know D1 and watching him play throughout this season. He is an extremely competitive player and impacts winning at a high level. D1 is a very good shooter and understands all the little things it takes to be successful, he has a contagious personality and comes from a tremendous program at Winston Salem Christian School under Head Coach Antonio Lowe. We are excited to have D1 in a Trailblazer uniform and staying local to play in Winston Salem next season."
