Cal Barrett, Men's Basketball
Cal Barrett signed his letter of intent to play for Forsyth Tech on Tuesday, April 15. Cal is a 6'9 forward from Winston Salem, NC. Cal was a standout at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in Kernersville under Coach Josh Thompson. During his senior campaign (2023-2024) Cal averaged 8.4 PPG, 6.4 RPG, & 3.3 APG for the Villains and was named a Triad Area All-Star. During the 2024-2025 basketball season, Cal attended Moravian Prep where he competed on both the Regional and National teams.
"Cal fits exactly what we are looking for in a forward," said head coach Lucas Hunter. "I am excited to coach Cal and think his offensive skill at his size will create tough matchups for opponents. Cal can make plays around the basket and is comfortable popping off ball screens to knock down threes. Cal comes from a great family and I am excited that he chose to play locally at Forsyth Tech, it is great to add another Winston Salem native to our team. Cal loves the game and will be a great addition to our locker room."
