Forsyth Tech’s Trailblazer Trek

Purpose:

  • Provide a fun, friendly and safe community event to raise support for Forsyth Tech Athletic Teams. The Trailblazer Trek offers route distances of (approximately) 10, 30, and 60 miles.  All routes will be starting and ending at Forsyth Tech’s Northwest Forsyth Center (3111 Big Oaks Dr. King, N.C.).

Registration:

  • Register here.
  • $40.00 prior to March 1, 2026
  • $55.00 until April 15, 2026
  • Please include t-shirt size in registration information.
  • After April 15th, Registration will close to make final preparations.
  • Can’t make it to the Bike Ride, but still want to contribute?  You can support the ride by donating on the registration page.
  • There is no on-site registration on April 18th.
  • Electronic ride waiver is required to complete the registration.

Included with Registration:

  • Ride Rest Stops (refreshment snacks, drinks, and restrooms, minor first aide items)
  • Support and SAG Service
  • Bike Tech Support (At Check-in Area)
  • Cue Sheets
  • T-shirt (Registered riders must pick up shirt day of event)
  • After Ride Meal

Check-In: (Rain or Shine)

  • Northwest Forsyth Center (3111 Big Oaks Dr. King, N.C.)
  • Participants must physically check in at the Check-In Table.
  • 8:00 a.m. check-in
  • 9:00 a.m. start with ride participants finished by 1:00 p.m.

Route Descriptions:

  • 60 Miles – The 60-mile route follows rolling roads in Forsyth and Stokes Counties.  The route’s midway point comes at Hanging Rock State Park, where riders can choose to tackle the climb or bypass it and save energy for the return leg.
  • 30 Miles – The 30-mile route follows gentle roads in Forsyth County for those looking for a challenge, but with less elevation change.
  • 10 Miles – The 10-mile route is perfect for those looking to participate and have fun, but in a more relaxed capacity.  The route follows mostly flat roads with some minor elevation change.

Safety Guidelines:

  • Obey all traffic laws, including bicycle laws.
  • If you are riding with a group, ride single file.
  • All riders are required to wear an ANSI/SNELL/CPSC approved helmet.
  • Please be courteous to others sharing the road with you.
  • Riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and have the consent of a parent or guardian to participate in the event.
  • All minors must always be under adult supervision.

Waiver and Release - (By completing your registration and payment for this event you agree to the following):

Participants RELEASE, WAIVE, FOREVER DISCHARE AND HOLD HARMLESS, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Forsyth Technical Community College, its officers, members, agents, volunteers, related entities, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “indemnitees”) from any and all liability, claims, causes of actions, and demands of any kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise now or in the future in connection with Participants’ participation in the Forsyth Tech Trailblazers Trek.  Participants understand and agree that this Release discharges the Indemnitees from any liability or claim that Participants may have against the Indemnitees with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from Participants’ participation in the Forsyth Tech Trailblazers Trek, howsoever arising or caused, including THROUGH THE NEGLIGENCE OF INDEMNITEES. Participants expressly waive any right to a trial by judge or jury that Participants may otherwise have with regard to any claim or liability related to Participants’ participation in the Forsyth Tech Trailblazer Trek.
