Marsaedees Carter enters her first year as the Athletic Trainer at Forsyth Technical Community College. Appointed as the first dedicated athletic trainer in program history, Carter is tasked with leading the development and execution of a comprehensive sports medicine department to support the Trailblazers' growing athletic programs. In her role, she oversees the daily healthcare, injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation for all Trailblazer student-athletes, establishing foundational sports medicine protocols and creating a holistic wellness environment that aligns with the competitive culture of Forsyth Tech athletics.

Carter joined the Trailblazers after beginning her professional career as the Head Athletic Trainer at Jesse C. Carson High School. Beyond her primary sports medicine responsibilities at Carson, she served as a clinical preceptor and mentor for the school's Career and Technical Education (CTE) department, as well as Novant Health’s Bridges to Healthcare Program, helping guide the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her collegiate clinical experience includes a foundational stint at North Carolina A&T State University, where she worked primarily with the Aggies' men's basketball and cheerleading programs. While with N.C. A&T, she specialized in facilitating return-to-participation rehabilitation protocols, recovery management, and comprehensive health assessment screenings. Additionally, Carter has extensive experience providing medical coverage across the amateur and youth sports landscapes, including club volleyball, AAU competitions, and regional tournaments.

A native of Plymouth, North Carolina, Carter earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2019. She remained at UNCG to complete her advanced degree, graduating with a Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2022. She is a Board-Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) in the state of North Carolina. Deeply committed to community impact, Carter is also the founder and organizer of Plymouth's annual Community Wellness Day, a hometown initiative that promotes physical and mental well-being through fitness events and health education.
