Geronimo Clark, Men's Basketball
Geronimo Clark signed his letter of intent to play for Forsyth Tech on Friday, March 28. Clark is a 6'5 wing from Queens Grant High School in Charlotte, NC. During his senior season, Clark was coached by Joe Badgett at Queens Grant High School and helped lead the team to the NCHSAA Class 1A Final Four right here in Winston-Salem. In the summer, Geronimo played on the EYBL for Team Durant and was coached by Wayne Pratt.
"Geronimo is a very skilled guard with positional size, something that we certainly place a high value on in recruiting," said head coach Lucas Hunter. "I have enjoyed getting to know Geronimo and his family throughout this recruiting process. I believe his best basketball is still ahead of him and I am excited to have him as a member of this inaugural team."

Who has made an impact on your basketball journey?
I’ve had some amazing coaches that I can honestly say impacted my life including my high school basketball coaches, my AAU coaches with Team Durant. But, my basketball mentor, Jerrod Mustaf, had a huge influence on my basketball journey. He was a retired NBA player, a great person, a great father…I respect him. He passed away in October of this past school year, but he put me on the path to continue his legacy and make him proud of me.
What are you looking forward to about playing at Forsyth Tech?
I am looking forward to playing on the college level at Forsyth and playing for Coach Hunter. He’s an enthusiastic and energetic coach who believes in this program. I’m also looking forward to playing with the guys that Coach Hunter has selected- We have a talented group of guys. I am also looking forward to joining Forsyth’s history with being on the first Men’s basketball team at the school. That’s big.
Who is your favorite basketball team/college/pro?
My favorite professional basketball team is the Lakers. My favorite college basketball team is the University of Maryland - my hometown team.
Who is your favorite basketball player?
Lebron James.
What is your dream job?
My favorite job would be in real estate. I look forward to working on my real estate license. And I would also like to invest in real estate.
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I would probably like to live in Brazil. It looks like a nice tropical place.
What is the one thing people don't know about you?
I like to sing when I’m by myself.
When did you start playing basketball and why?
I started playing basketball when I was like 11 or 12 years old because my parents put me in basketball to keep me busy.
Favorite basketball memory?
My favorite basketball memory is playing Team Durant’s EYBL for Coach Pratt. Great team. Great memories.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is Chicken Alfredo with shrimp or maybe some jerk chicken.
Why did you choose Forsyth Tech?
I chose Forsyth Tech because it’s a great school, a great school community, and I look forward to playing for Coach Hunter because he believes in me. I also feel like I can continue to grow and develop my skill set, make a positive impact in the basketball program here at Forsyth, while playing basketball on the collegiate level which has always been my dream.
